on similar note i'd love to see private or proprietary models available in windsurf also!! some of us have custom models trained on sensitive data

I'm not interested in this feature. Part of what makes Windsurf so powerful is because they own and control the entire pipe. Having to support and maintain custom models when people bring their own keys as well could reduce the polish and feature velocity of Windsurf.

This is the deal-breaker for me, unfortunately, even though Windsurf offers much better experience than Cursor.

I am happy to pay for the unique Agent features, but when my paid credits run out, I hope to be able to use my own API. Just like Cursor, their API function works very well.

Windsurf has the perfect UI. I am happy to pay for this UI. I hate subscriptions, but let's say $50 to use the app, and then after a year if they have some upgraded version, I'm happy to pay $50 again to get the upgrade.

(What I would HATE is being FORCED to pay $50 every year to keep the UI from being CUT OFF).
