I often have to tell cascade to "continue"
A.J. Brown
Ocassionally cascade will just stop performing a series of tasks. As an example, I'll ask it to write some tests for me. It'll write them, and then find some issues, fix those issues, and try again. Then it'll notice some more issues, tell me it's going to fix them, and then just fix them and stop.
If I say "continue" it resumes the task.
It's mostly annoying, but also breaks flow. If cascase is automatically running all of the tasks it's doing, I can task switch while it works to the result I want. But when I have to continually tell it to "keep going" I have to pay attention to it.

Completely agree. I use dev plans when developing, where each task can have a few different steps. This allows Casacade to build the code and then allows me to review before we go to the next step. It would be great if I didn't have to hit continue all the time between these different steps in the task

This is the MOST annoying part. I understand they are restarting their session in the backend, but they should resume automatically. I want to give it a command, tell it to build something, and go to the store as it builds it. But I have to be there hitting continue so often.

I understand that this is a security measure, but it would be nice to have the option of disabling this security measure, and allowing the system to continue

I feel like this is deliberate, to protect you. It keeps a single prompt from using up all your credits in one go, because sometimes these flow cycles can keep going almost indefinitely.

I have the same problem, especially lately with Claude Sonnet 3.7

Same here!

This is so annoying and needs to be fixed. Can i just say also how bad Deepseek V3 model is when it comes to this. No wonder the use of the model uses no credits. I think it should just be removed or better trained or fined tuned.

I've been having the opposite problem with Claude 3.7 Sonnet. I'm trying to migrate some code, one piece at a time, and have Cascade stop until I confirm if the code was correctly migrated or not. And sometimes it just keeps going!

it would even be enough for me if the tool showed that the task is not completed and it just ran out of context window or whatever happened to stop it. A "continue" button would be even better until the issue can be resolved all together.

If I could +100 this, I would. This is happening almost at every prompt now, it's unusable...Everytime I get it, I'm going to post a comment to this comment
