After the software update, when I typed the prompt word in the chat box, there was an obvious typing lag. That is, after I typed a paragraph on the keyboard, the specific content of my typing did not appear on the screen. Instead, it took a long time for my typing content to appear on the screen.

This lag should be fixed in latest release for Windsurf v1.2.4. Apologies for the lag!

To work around the issue while waiting for a patch from your services, I recommend users use a text/Word file in parallel to type their chat instructions and then copy and paste them. This will avoid the slowdown with each typed character.

Actually, opening a new chat only solves the problem temporarily. After a few lines of chat, the issue comes back, making it almost impossible to chat properly.

I had exactly the same issue, but I noticed that when using a new chat, the problem no longer occurs. This only happens with old chats.
