Unlimited Plan
Sam
I don’t think it’s right to provide limited credits while your competitor, which is downloaded and used more than you, offers unlimited limits. Your competitor gives 500 fast credits and then slows down, while you provide 1500/3000 fast credits. Even if it's very expensive, like $95, you should have an unlimited plan. Some people, like me, want to code freely without worrying about credits, but due to this limit, we can’t do what we want. Your competitor has solved this by slowing down after 500. Please offer an unlimited package. There are many people like me who are willing to pay more.

I switched to Cursor - For $30 I can run a whole month on full speed. Windsurf cost me $80 for two weeks.

Unlimited is a terrible idea. People will abuse it and use a billion tokens in a month, increasing the costs for everyone else.
However what they could do is to haven an option to continue using credits for a fee after they have depleted and include a message that the previous responses cost $x.xx along with a total overage cost so far.

I'll be honest this has been bugging me also for a while now. Just like Cline, seeing the credits drain as I work just gives me anxiety.
Maybe a helpful tip from my end:
- I open up Trae and Windsurf together, and open the same project I'm working on.
- Since Trae is free (for now) I use it for simpler tasks, frontend stuff and it gets the job done. This way I'm not using up credits from Windsurf for small changes.
- I use Windsurf with either Claude 3.5 od 3.7 for more complex tasks and this saves me a lot of credits
- I also incorporated using Augment Code as an addon to index my entire codebase and ask it questions - it's free for now (with a limit) and I found it gives me pretty good answers and understands the codebase pretty well.
Hope this helps.

Don't tell them that :P, but I would pay for a "auto increase credits" features, like increments of $10... up to a limit. This tool really saves me time... I could keep spending money on credits as it makes me more money lol

Dear Windsurf Team, I purchased the Pro Ultimate subscription ($60/month) to support your company's development, but I've found that the current 3,000 Flow Action Credits are insufficient for my usage needs. Considering that at the same price, purchasing two regular Pro accounts (2×$15=$30/month) would provide the same number of Flow Action Credits at half the cost, I suggest doubling the Flow Action Credits for Pro Ultimate to at least 6,000 per month. This would provide value that matches the price and truly meet the needs of advanced users. Thank you for developing this excellent product, and I hope to continue supporting Windsurf's growth.

erd online i've mailed them about it, their answer was:
Hi Samuel,
While the pro_ultimate plan offers 3000 flow action credits, it also offers unlimited chat prompt credits. While yes you can purchase multiple subscriptions, you'll have to use multiple accounts as each account can hold only one subscription.
The main advantage that the pro-ultimate susbcription has is the unlimited chat prompt credits, which also ensures flex credits are depleted lesser and used only for flow actions unlike the pro subscription. Multiple steps of any action performed require chat prompt credits as well. In fact cascade is most effective when used with smaller and more precise prompts rather than huge flows described at one go.
However, we understand that this pricing model may not suit everyone's need and working towards the efficiency of the plans we offer. I've noted down your feedback on the pricing model and passed it on to our team
